Shawshank Redemption

The book of novellas this is from, Different Seasons by Stephen King, is one of his best collections. 3 out of the 4 stories in the book have been made into excellent movies. Stand by Me, Apt Pupil, and Shawshank.

What I like is that in almost every Stephen King movie adaptation, he appears as a secondary character. Where was he in this movie though?

yeah, i read the book, i like them both the same, stephen king has his way of writing, frank darabont has his way of directing...

There is not point in commenting if you found it boring but my point of view and everyone else who commented thinks its brilliant film! So dont comment if your just going to say negative stuff about the video!

Movies are about more than good lines. This film has more significance in the film world than Kings book ever had in the literary world. It takes genious to make one of the best movies out of a merely (rather than great) good book. One of the extremely rare cases where the film is better than the book.

it's so boring that's why it's almost ALWAYS rated as one of the top films ever made, yup just soooo horrible
