Monks lead largest Burma protest 2 (Myanmar, 24 Sept 2007)
yea your correct there katyu... many of the monks were massacred in the temples and their bodies discarded in the jungles... I hear the media has been streaming false information to the television viewers.... Can't believe this could go to so extreme lengths

Look at this beautiful movement, beautiful country and people.
This means so much, many thanks to you.
I can't stand how no western nations are not jumping in at this oppertunity for democracy. Especially America. The same people who declared invading Iraq, Affghanistan to provide freedom democracy to liberate your people. Here is your chance to prove that you were not lieing. Show the world you actually care about these values and don't just use them as excuses.

By UnklRudi [Affiliate User] 1191265487 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat these demonstrations are led by a handful of Buddhist monks exposes its reactionary nature. The social role of Buddhism is determined by the basic principles of its dogmatics. Every bond, including social bonds, is viewed by Buddhism as evil. Its detachment from all surroundings and its individualism also determine its profound asocial character. This explains the withdrawal of Buddhists from the struggle for social and political reforms and from the class war.
By Dergue [Affiliate User] 1191263818 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt's striking that the BBC provide coverage to the events in Burma but ignored the uprising in France last year. During the protest movement against electoral fraud, there were three million people on the streets of Mexico. Imperialist media are now talking of "revolution" in Myanmar but denied such a movement was taking place in Mexico.
By Dergue [Affiliate User] 1191263697 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe situation in Myanmar can best be described as a failed CIA coup whose aims are to restore colonial rule. In a hypocritical manner, the ruling clique in Washington imposed sanctions on Myanmar because of the failure of this coup.
By Dergue [Affiliate User] 1191263673 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI heard about one officer that refused to go the monastery and fill 15 trucks with monks and transport them to the jungle and kill them. How many massacres have occurred without our knowledge? The military doesn't ask questions they fire first...
