Jeremy Clarkson in an F15E - Briefing and Flight.

F/A18 Hornet is rubbish but it's economical. The F15 is the greatest fighter jet ever! I'm not saying it's better than the Raptor but it's more than filled it's many roles.

I also heard that the f15 is still faster than the f22. not to convinced myself! I do know that the f18 hornet that replaced the f14 tomcat is slower and carries less weapons. But maintinence is a lot less between flights!...

I also agree privatecustard. think the Typoon is better looking though! (not that it matters in air to air combat lol!)...

well,to lock on a F22 is going to be very,very hard,and the F15 isnt known for its agility,the f22 is..

the f35 JSF replaces the F16,F18,A10 and the harrier,also stealthy the marine version is also capable for vertical take off.

even if the f15 pilot new what was happening I highly doubt that would make a diffrence! the f22 or eurofighter would be locked on before he had time to react! the f22 is not radar invisible, but it dose have a very very low radar signature...

I love the show top gear! I am from the uk, but live in america now. I only get to see it on youtube now! dose anyone know when the new season starts?

In BVR a F-15E is not anywere near as good as a Eurofighter, by the way the Eurofighter does not have thrust vectoring, it has awesome agility instead which is actually better, And the F-22 is not invisible on radar, so in other words an F-15 pilot would know what was happening.

What Jeremy Clarkson, he is a motoring journalist here in the UK, he is into anything with a big engine on it, and history, and engineering in general, he is mostly known for his car program called Top Gear, if that is what your talking about.

If there is one thing that you Americans can do well I have to say its create the most beautiful looking aircraft! the f15 is just a work of art and a shame to see it go! But! I have to say th f14 tomcat is just the most stunning aircraft ever created. I had a lump in my throght the day they retierd it from use! I remember seeing it fly at an airshow, it was just amazing...

Can an f-15 compete with a Eurofighter Typhoon? It can't because the Eurofighter has thrust vectoring. The f-15 is being replaced by the F22.

An F22 would shoot an F15 out of the sky before it's pilot even knew what whas happening.
