  • Good tips! Superb ...

Good tips! Superb series, can't wait to see the demo. They look just like a factory pair. I bought a Bosch PST 700 PEL jigsaw but I still need to work on how to saw clean. My first pair looks rubbish. I'm looking forward to see the demo and outtakes!
In the meantime I will try to make a better jig for the machine so I can saw straight. I was pretty angry because I screwed up my wood, lol.

Oh, for awhile I was posting my vids in Quicktime H.264 format and was getting awful compression artifacts (after YouTube processes). The quality you've seen here is plain DVD quality MPEG format. I think the key to posting HQ vids is finding a format that YouTube won't squeeze too much. I believe there's so much H.264 traffic that YT automatically restricts bandwidth. I have yet to try Shockwave Flash (.swf) format.

  • I've been using an ...

I've been using an older Sony DCR-TRV27 I found on Craigslist. It's been off the market for a long time. I specifically got it because it has an external stereo mic input for when I record guitar play. Most newer consumer models don't have externals. It's biggest drawback is it needs a lot of light. So, I sweat buckets when I shoot interiors. I'm saving up for a 3 chip HD. Overkill for YouTube, but I need one for work eventually.
