"From Where You Are," written and performed by Jason Wade, a member of a band named Lifehouse. Mr. Wade was inspired to write the song by the death of a 16-year-old friend in an auto accident.

The commercial dramatizes the issue by showing a highway crowded with cars ­- filled with teenage passengers -­ that suddenly disappear. "Every year, nearly 6,000 teenagers go for a drive and never come back," says the actor Dennis Haysbert, the Allstate spokesman. He asks the parents watching the spot to "start the conversation" with their teenage children about driving safely.

    haha!! This bands sucks!! They're so fake punk. They're wannabe punk rockers. Every one knows that real punk rock isn't played on pop radio staions! I mean people can say whatever they want about how this bands is punk, but I'm a true punk rocker and no punk would ever, ever come out with a song of a mistake like this! This is the complete opposite of punk rock. These guys are as gay as hell! ha-ha!!

      The problem with people like you is that you need labels to feel part of something. Who cares what 'label" this group or any others use for their genre of music. This is a beautiful song that I actually have on my profile for my son who is in the US Navy..and it means even more than that to me.. I have someone else besides him I am very far away from and miss desperatly and will probably never see again due to his choice. Lifehouse makes beautiful music and I listen to words careful. Music is a huge part of my life and I also know it is very important to many others as well. Maybe one day you will grow up and just appriciate the words of the song writers and the tone of the preformers instead of putting down people because you wish you were them!! I will pray for you and your sad little life.
