Su-47? lol there's only 1. It's not in service. Raptor would still eat it for breakfast. Doesn't matter if it has better maneuverability. Dogfight is last thing Raptor needs to do.

Not for long, if the Russians and Americans ever go to battle, they will just unleash thier SU-47 on us and that will be the end of the F/A-22.
There is nothing that can outfly the '47 and tbh, I dont think I would want to get near something that kills you allies before you can even see it on your radar. haha.

why get in a dogfight when you can take then enemy out from 200 miles away?sure its expensive but we need the f22 to maintain the unfair advantage we have over the other countries.coming from someone who has built the f22 and now the f35 lightening2.

No no no! It was known as F/A-22 then F-22 then F-22A. It has ground attack capability, can carry 2 x 500 pound Jdams. Without ground attack, production would of halted/halved as it was realised that such a tech. fighter was not needed. Of course now with all the advanced Sukhoi's being sold all thru Asia the US Raptor production has gained an edge. 122+ as of 2009- current Raptor force. There looking at 183 total delivery til 2011.

Plus my argument had nothing to do with maneuverability, it was about the issues with the plane itself if you read all my comments
