Quite the contrary, I assure you.
I love and play Beethoven myself.
I criticized exactly the abominable synthi-version, which is a R**e indeed, for any dynamic, change of rhythm, human way of playing, the great sound of real instruments etc etc. etc. is ALL lost here!
If things are praised like these, it can be called only the McDonaldization of modern society which I truly regret.

Based on your comment here, it's quite clear that you never had any compassion to begin with.

I read the text from your first comment and the only message I recieved was: "Hey there everyone, I'm insulting a beloved peice of work, but you shoudl still give me sparkling praise anyway, just for being a jackass!"

And what does that say? That no one else but you is allowed to insult things they don't like? Geez, silverbud, hyporcrite much?

The ingenuity of Beethoven's work is not "raped" simply because it is played over a synthesizer. The beauty of the music holds true, no matter how it is played.

I think that people need to chill. This piece is beautiful, and whoever is playing has captured Beethovens magic. He was partially deaf for a long time btw, but it was hardly noticable until much further on. I dont think anyone involved in composing/playing this piece would find people caling each other retards and pricks would be happy, enjoy the music and comment on that. : ]
