Same solar powered small steam engine running at 1700+ rpms off of a large Spot Fresnel Lens.
Lol, i think we would more likely cease to be concerned with maintaining perfectly trimmed lawns at that point... However it may be a feisable concept.

By LocustsOfSteel [Affiliate User] 1224023304 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf completed, and you get a patent, Im pretty sure you could market this as an extremely quiet, clean, compact, gas free, electric generator that can be used in a camp site, survival situation etc.
I'd pay around $200 for one, as I am a fisherman, camping enthusiast, and renewable energy fan.
Yeah, now this is one really good concept!
Just make a used vegetable oil burner for night time power, reduce the size of the boiler tank, build in a water level indicator, attach a pressure gauge and automatic safety valve to the tank, volume valve to the engine, gear or belt a small motor onto the wheel, attach a voltage stabilizer to the motor, a charge controller to the stabilizer, and a 12v battery to the controller, and secure all devices together into a compact unit...
please rig this to charge a battery, it would be so cool :) Then post video of that as well! Thanks for this.

some watts that way I am inspired by your videos wow his stuff is great.
with those priciples i bet you can make a solar jet. what do you think?

By GREENPOWERSCIENCE [Affiliate User] 1217168225 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePut a pressure gage and a relief valve on that rig before you kill yourself. Also, that plastic tubing is not going to hold up to steam very well. Iron pipe is a lot safer than the beer bottle, but if you do manage to build enough pressure to blow it, it's going to make lots of high velocity shrapnel.
By russlehman [Affiliate User] 1217102922 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWould it be possible for the engine to run an generator and then use that electricity to produce Hydrogen? Also, could you have salt water in water container and collect the steam after it has been through the steam engine? Just a thought, so it could desalinate water and produce hydrogen from the same sun source.
By jizzlipps [Affiliate User] 1216635649 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you look in the old Sears catalogs from the 1800's you will find listed for sale, a solar powered Stirling heat cycle engine powered pump. The heat was provided by a polished cast iron parabola. This was offered for farm use. These engines ae still available, as kits, and complete working engines in a number of sizes from toys, to practical working engines. Segway scooters are to be fitted with a modern version in the near future.

By ncktbs [Affiliate User] 1215982991 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhere can i get a lens like that
By antimoron08 [Affiliate User] 1215401110 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethats MORE than enough power to be practical... this type of heat exchange (stirling engine) powered certain trains at one time. also as always youll get better results with less friction, so if you can do something about all that noise your rpm will go up. did you purchase a kit to build this? shes got KICK! keep up the good work.
By MonoAoV [Affiliate User] 1214791024 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhen u think about it, engines like these will probably power our lawnmowers and other small engines wen global oil runs out
