  • again...do not ...

again...do not reply to me or ballerbscott. If you have an animal, they are part of the family, not a "thing" you own. Treating your "material" things like a floor better than the health of that animal is dumb...its a f**king FLOOR.

  • Narcolepsy is a ...

Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder caused by the brain's inability to regulate sleep-wake cycles normally. At various times throughout the day, people with narcolepsy experience fleeting urges to sleep. If the urge becomes overwhelming, individuals will fall asleep for periods lasting from a few seconds to several minutes. In rare cases, some people may remain asleep for an hour or longer.

  • I just saw this and ...

I just saw this and I cringed at the sound when Skeeter hit the hard floor numerous times with his chin. Are the owners that dumb to not put soft rugs down if they don't want carpeting? I agree with flalawyer2b, to have thier dog posted and show that they are negligent in preventing pain for this dog is just plain ignorant...OMG I hate stupid people.

  • Erm, narcolepsy is ...

Erm, narcolepsy is a very specific condition associated with snoring that causes the victim to lose sleep at night, and thus tend to want to make up for it during the daytime. Narcolepsy is usually treated quite easily with a device that uses air pressure to keep the wind caveties open during sleep so that air can pass freely and the victim can get a good night's sleep.

Dinner at Ruth's Chris that narcolepsy is NOT what's ailing this poor pooch.

These people need to get some doggy armor or some padding or something for the poor dog. It seems like he is going to break a bone or something.

  • Right, a pudgy ...

Right, a pudgy poodle would have more to fall on than a fit spaniel. Everyone should just relax about the whole animal abuse thing. If what everyone was saying here was a case against animal abuse, no one in the whole world would have a pet!

  • There's a ...

There's a difference between the very occasional and UNPREDICTABLE falls that active dogs have and allowing a dog that you KNOW is going to be CONSTANTLY passing out to live on hard floors. A narcoleptic pudgy poodle is not the same as a spaniel.

  • What's unrealistic ...

What's unrealistic about replacing hard floor with carpets? If they can't afford to replace the whole house, they should do as much as they can and restrict the dog to those areas. Do you hear the friggin' sound the dog's chin makes as its the floor?!

  • To those people ...

To those people saying the dog is suffering; my best friend and cousin both have narcolepsy. It's not painful or anything and the vet in the video even said so.
All I can say is that my dog, a English Springer Spaniel would be asleep all the time - her tail never stops!!!
