I live in Maryland and the day of the explosion, I had smelled this STRONG smoke outside my house. I didn't feel right because that was no neighbor fireplace smoke at all. Turns out it was winds blowing smoke from a Canadian wildfire but that first sniff, I literally felt uneasy inside not knowing what happened until I turned on the tv.They knew the risk. The crew are truly brave idols in my book!
RIP flight crew, and peace to all those working in the control center that day.
