Have you tried removing a pin before? Does it do the trick just as well?

hmmmmmm thats a neat thing to know I guess you could always remove a pin on the motherboard that resets the bios besides moving the batter

Yea that'll do the trick on most computers... but I believe Lenovo (IBM) has some kind of security feature that locks up the hard drive when you remove the CMOS battery... other than that you're probably correct

well if it is a Desktop computer on the motherboard atthe bottom right some where is a circular battery just take it out for like 10 seconds (MAKE SURE THE COMPUTER iS OFF!) and put it back in and the BIOS will be resetted

Actually a lot of school computers have a password in the BIOS which doesn't allow you to change the settings and boot from CD

nothing should be blocked at all just have to boot it through the begining (dos)

and it should go through

if it still doesn't work then reformat it can put XP on it yourself!

XP. I tried on a laptop that I received from school, so they've might blocked some functions.

I've managed to get through different blocks by using programs (partition hd etc.) instead of the functions that's already in Windows.

So there's still no hope for me`? Do u know what they blocked, that prevents me from loading Slax/Oph Live cd?

ok I understand where your coming from but it still break the encryption on your HASH file and takes it and scans your WINDOWS for windowslogin.exe password

USB i believe so but you have to extact the ISO file

This isn't hacking at all. but if you forget your xp password ophcrack is very good and its based on the best linux distro ever,Slackware. I actually rewrote it so it would be faster and work on vista, because my mom always forgets her vista password

Does it even work if you burn it on a DVD or copy it on a USB ???
