This is a good song ... seems more suited to the Brosnan Bond. Sheena's version has always been one of my favorites and I have to agree that it's a love song ... after all, she's singing it to 007. What an interesting alternative history this song provides, though. Thanks for posting.

You Xant saying that her voice is whiny and stuff, Sheena Eastons song is Boring to be honest and this song has more of a beat. Youve also got to consider that Blondie were only makin this album because they had too they ACTUALLY wantd to split up but couldnt cos of there contract. So they wouldnt of given much of a toss if the album was a flop. Listen to the other songs on the album The Hunter, they are no where as near good as some of there other songs but I think this song is 1 of there best!

This is a fantastic version! Debbie Harry's voice is so rich and full. By comparison, Sheena Easton sounds shrill and whiny.

It would have been fantastic and worked so well!!!!! Sheenas song is more commercial. I understand why hers was a huge hit then. Blondies song is darker and suits the opening perfectly but would not have been a hit, I think. Thanks for posting!!!! Brilliant!

Well, in all fairness, "From Russia With Love," "You Only Live Twice," "The Spy Who Loved Me," "Moonraker" "All Time High," "Licence to Kill" "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "The World Is Not Enough" were all 'love songs', as well.

Definitely NOT a bond song. This is more a "Blondie" song. It was the right choice. The song they used got nominated for an oscar.

I'm sure this song would have been great for the movie, i prefer this one (of course i'm a blondie fan so i'm not objective ^-^) anyway, i find it stronger than sheena's version which in my opinion sound more... commun. But I admit sheena's version gets on well too.

I like Blondie but there was certainly a reason why this wasn't used - IT SUCKED!!!!

Overall, I think it's a better song than Easton's which is way too saccharine for my taste. However, I can't help thinking it would've benefitted from being slowed down a tad and played in a lower ket as La Harry's vocal sounds a bit stretched occassionally. On the other hand, imagine the alternate video with Debbie Harry in it who was at her peak at the time (around 1980). No offense Sheena.....

Blondie were great but sadly this song is not better than Sheena Easton's. She may not have been a great singer but the song is one of the best.

Blondie highly atmospheric? Haunting knowing vocals? What rubbish. The song is simply no good. You win some, you lose some. Some people have strips that turn out demented too.

Nah. No way better. This one simply didn't work. It was too weak a composition. Period. With all due respect they make the movies and you people don't.

Duran good? Duran were one of the worst songs ever. A Song for Tossers.

I like this. I think it works alright with the film but I guess the film company wasn't as impressed. To bad, they passed on something great. I guess they thought miss Easton was better for the job.
