I don't get the part about " the head can't move fast enough to dodge the fist". Pernell Whittaker would disagree. I must say, WSL is no joke when it comes to fighting.

I don't think he's being disrespectful to boxing, he's just pointing out that boxing is more of a sport and Wing Chun is more combat oriented. No disrespect, just fact. Read about his life, he beat a russian boxer twice his size in a challenge fight.

SiGung Wong Shun Leung was the best fighter in the Wing Chun Style. Never beaten, the SiHing of Bruce Lee, the one Bruce could never beat. Sifu to the great Wan Kam Leung and many others. Who are you to even question this mans knowledge, he had more real fights than all of you put together!
Bruce Lee respected SiGung Wong above all others. Listen, Learn, Absorb, Understand.
But most of all, RESPECT!

At least Philipp Bayer's students fight without protective gear. He doesn't want them to abandon pain and the experience of real fighting.

No protective gear? Hope you guys have good Dental/Medical Insurance. The best technique I found, is a Straight Blast to the Face! Happy training.

yes we do pradtise in sparring - only way of seeing what you re really capable of and yes we want to see our mistakes under stress condition - we do not use any protective gear and Philipp does not accept his teachers to escape pain ;)

O.K. But I know that Wong Shung Leung was a good fighter who tested his Ving Tsun in real fights.
Also Phillipp had a lot of fights in his history. And so I think he don´t teach us something which won´t work.

Late Wong Shun Leung proved himself time and time again on the rooftops of HK. Who are you kidding? What protective gear? Those fights definitely did not have any protective gear.

Thanks. But when you say it works, I hope you have actually used it in real combat, or at the very least all out sparring, not just theory. I do not mean any disrespect, but there are students that follow their teachers blindly. You have to make actual contact ( with protective gear ). Othewise it's only theory. Peace.

Wong Shun Leung explained that when you hit to the opponent and you don´t get him you should not take back your fist. And it works... My teacher show´s it several times.
