You said it, my friend. Although we've made many advances in science, medicine, communications, and technology, music has really digressed. It seems to worsen with every year. The whole style and aproach is boring. The feeling has all been sucked out of it, and what's left is cold, mundane, or downrght obnoxious.

The Hard Rock "Live" Champs flexing their musical muscles on 1 of 2 early Improv. Masterpieces {Wring That Neck}. Today we have dozens of acts that consist of: Two Dimensional Percussionists; "Pluck along with the Kick Drum" Bassists; Vocalists who "Voice" more than "Sing",eschewing any nod to melody or even screaming in key; Keyboardists rarely are employed,& Shredders who think obligatory/crude time sig. changes,& inexplicable mid-song style turns demonstrate Feeling/Compositional Genius.
