  • I agree with you. ...

I agree with you. To be honest, I don't think it was the best photoshop effort possible. I thought she ended up looking slightly weird.

yer, i thought that as well. all the other women had their boobs out, but she didn't. i suppose she just put them on (green leaves) for a laugh, i think some other women did as well. i still thought it was good though.

    really?

i believe she's very intelligent and manages to look into things, much deeper than any other modern journalist of today.

she's well worth the licence fees in my opinion

  • 'How can I look ...

'How can I look like this?' is a trick question because no one does and therefore no one can.

Consumers are going to spend an infinite amount of money on trying to discover the answer to this endlessly unsolveable riddle. If these images were naturally acheiveable through certain beauty products, we'd only buy them, ignore the rest, and watch the cosmetics industry shrink.

Like all the big metanarratives : religion, perfect democracy, etc - if people want to believe it, they will.

  • This was entirely ...

This was entirely my point. I absolutely believe there is room for all kinds of docs on tv. My comment about BBC4 being a worthy alternative was not meant as a slight toward the programming or audience of that channel, (I watch it myself), it was meant to mean that if you don't like something, it's possibly not aimed at you, and that there are plenty of other channels serving up different styles for different audiences.

  • I have to agree ...

I have to agree with DGS10, although perhaps not so strongly. You have won a bafta, well done, so have I. Have the grace to accept that some people might feel differently to you about the documentary form though, and that those people shouldn't be ghettoised to BBC4, (and indeed they aren't, yet).
