lolita is so unhappy she's on anti-depresstions and killer whale's have killed them self's just to get out of the tanks.they have been seperated from there pod and put in to a tank and then they have to perform tricks every day .would you be happy.

If the young are taken before they can survive without their mothers then yes it is the same, but they generally aren't and the young Orca's are used to a show environment because they are born into it. If you can't agree that bredding them is better then capture then I'm sorry but please think through it again. I'm not protecting SW and I'm not protecting Anit-captivity people I'm just trying to say to you how do you know that they are upset and to stop making everywhere sound so bad.

lolita,kshamenk and shouka are on their own.if they are not captured then the ones born in captivity get taken away from their family and they don't know were their going it's the same to them as the ones in the wild!

Right, they are not on their own, the tanks aren't tiny, captures are redundant now, those who go out and captures cetaceans are idiots because there is a good 'stock' I suppose of Cetaceans in captivity, there is no need for Capture.

would you be happy if you were taken away from your familie taken off in a boat don't know were your going then put in a tiny tank all by yourself then having to do dum tricks all day!i think you would be unhappy.

i'm sorry, Peepchick, but i agree with IAmADalek. you have NO hard evidence to support your claims. All you have is a poorly run place like Miami Sea Aquarium and Keshamenk in Argentina to base your alligations on.
Sea world take good care of their animals and i have never seen evidence of torture or abuse in these places.
So what do you have to prove that the animals are unhappy?

Resident orcas, which most captives today are, do not beach themselves, because they have no reason to. Having a person ride on their backs or jump off their noses is obviosly not natural. As you said, breakspins and backflips are not natural... And most of the time when seaworld has orcas jumping (breaching) they have them do a spin or a double jump.. which isnt natural. I don't know if the animals like doing these tricks, but since they dont do them in the wild - it makes you wonder..

(Sorry for the late reply computers being weird) I agree that tanks will never match natural habbitats, I don't like it when they move Orca's around I hate it when they do seperate families. I've heard about Kandu 5 and that did make me angry, but unnatural tricks? So do Orca's (Specially Transients) not beach themselves? Do they not jump? Ok I don't particularly like the break spins or the flips but that's just me...
