Using "How To Hand-Feed Hummingbirds Volume-2, from the "A Bird In The Hand" video series, I was able to teach three Hummingbirds to feed out of my hand through my bedroom window....and it only took a couple of hours! • Great video. Yes, ...

Great video. Yes, red die isn't good for them but to get it to eat from your hand you needed something to attract it. If you don't have flowers for the hummingbirds just get a feeder. It's easy to maintain and totally worth it. 4 cups water to 1 cup sugar and boil for 3 minutes. Keep it in the fridge and change at least once a week. It's worth it, they will come and never forget it's there as long as you maintain it. We love our hummingbirds and the family gets bigger every year.

  • Amazing-Ilove ...

Amazing-Ilove hummingbirds. Howevers, here in the east whatevers killed offall the bees and most floral feeding wasps also killed off most of the warblers, sparrows, finches and jaybirds (blue jays) chickadees, nuthatches and what have we.Anyone got any ideas as to what happened?
The bird numbers are way,way down. Imean I only saw 3 blue jays all winter when 20years ago there'd be 20 minimum, even in hard years when most of the more northern ones went further south of here.

I once had a beak-to-face encounter with a hummingbird, i think it was a Roufus, anyways, he checked me out and all, i could feel the wind of his wings on my face , and that was pretty cool! after about 5 seconds, i moved like half an inch and he flew off, lol!
