Just a little update on stuff I have being doing, I wanted to build a vawt that had loads of torque, so I could use it with my ametek with a belt attached I have learned how to weld by mr windmill man(Mr andy), nice bloke, and bought a second hand future energy alternator, after building a set of blades for another fella, but he then realised that his location wasn't perfect.

  • Hi my man. I'm ...

Hi my man. I'm planning to build a savonious wind aerogenerator on my balcony in a high building here in Edinburgh. Probably with a washing machine drum like yours. I intend to use the energy for heating our home. Could you please tell me the kind of alternator you use and where/how you got it? Also I'm really interested on your battery bank and the type of batteries you use. Could you be a bit more specific about them please? Maybe posting a video? ;) Thanks a lot.

  • cheers andy, I do ...

cheers andy, I do feel more confident at wellding now, in the end had to buy a more expensive welder, but in the long run it will pay for itself, it's quite windy today, and everything is going mad, just waiting for a blade somewhere to comme through the window lol, see u buddy, have you made the blades for your turbine, it really seems like a good little alternator, you will easily get 5+ amps in moderate wind, see u buddy, see u soon

Cheerio my friend :) I have seen some people put the vault at the top corner of a building. Maybee the back of your shed side ways, because the wind hits the shed then climbs to the to of it. Just a thought. Great work, glad you did not see my first welding ;)
