The statements in your video is presented as facts, not as things to be discussed.

Nature mops up after it's co2 release, absorbing slightly more than the 220 gigatons it emits.

The existance of human emissions is the difference between co2 rise and no co2 rise. The human emission is just enough to cause more co2 to enter the atmosphere than leave it each year, and so co2 rises.

Human fossil fuel usage releases about 27 Gigatons of CO2 into the atmosphere annually (including things like peat fires in Indonesia). The natural decay of organic material in forests and grasslands releases about 220 Gigatons annually.

Variation in the sun's brightness and number of sunspots almost certainly contributes to climate change on earth. As do solar magnetic field, the earth's magnetic field, cosmic rays, and of course the Southern Oscillation Index among other factors.

We reported the factual data that was available when the video was made, and we correctly pointed out that the temperature in '09 might or might not go back up. No new data changes the three conclusions. Climate catastrophe is not imminent. Carbon dioxide is not causing the current warming. Humans are not causing the current warming.

The claim that humans only contribute a small amount of co2 is also wrong. Human emissions contribute virtually all of the co2 rise of the past 200 years and so about a quarter of co2 in todays atmosphere.

The cited correlation between US temperatures and solar activity also omitted the critical flaw with that argument: *global* temperature and solar activity do not correlate.

There are multiple errors of fact in this video.

The worst mistake in the video is the claim that "temperature rise of the past 127 years is now history". This was not only incorrect in january 2008 where the graph ends, but it's all the more wrong now given that temperatures have risen since that low point, as expected because the low point in jan08 was caused by a la nina. That is the video has left out more than 6 months of data refuting it's point.

If your point is that the image of the molecule somehow compromises the reality of the charts, graphs, and other data presented -- you are mistaken.

What IS "blown here" is our abortive attempt at initiating dialogue.

Getting the structure of CO2 right is about the academic level of a teenage chem student....

I think the point is you have blown your credibility before you start. Making excuses like 'well it would absorb if it were bent' is like saying... sure we put up the structure of methane... but that would have IR active bands too!

Making weak excuses simply means that you have not only blown your academic credibility, but also your dignity.

I see evolution and other theories of science are handled very nicely in videos in your collection. This subject is a real anomaly. I think you might be reading the wrong sources on this matter, there are plenty of misinforming sources out there that will omit important info and so, for example, imply humans contribute insignificantly to the 33% rise in co2 since 1800, when in fact humans account for all of it.

If an argument sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
