there's actually a new way to open up the cornea, by cutting with laser. here in Finland it's called femtolasic something.. and it's said to be less risky. the slice is a lot thinner and more precisely cut.

actually its cool i ad it done when i was 16 and i can see better and best part i burned my glasses at a plastic factory and they made the plastic into a ball and the glass into marbles.
