LT.Ellis always makes my Buck Private stand to attention. Thats some tasty tracker trim. This show could have gone on for years if she didnt quit after 13 episodes.

An interesting bit of trivia: Gabrielle Drake who plays Lt Ellis is the sister of the late singer Nick Drake. So there.

Was/is a brilliant show. Only annoyance watching it these days is how analogue everything is... everyone's pushing buttons like their lives depend on it.. lol

No, not clones. I read that Gerry Anderson liked the look of the color under the lights and that he and presumably also his wife Sylvia Anderson (the show's costume designer) felt that by the 1980s (the show's time setting) wigs were going to be very commonplace as fashion accessories. They incorporated the wigs as part of the Moonbase girls' standard uniform. When Lt. Ellis visited Earth, she did not wear the purple wig or the heavy eye makeup.

I like the way she stood off to the side of the mirror, just for our camera angle. She'll only have been able to check her right boot :-) Brilliant show.

I met her at a Gerry Anderson convention, and agree that she's still as beautiful today.
