I love this movie, you don't have to be a part of the "cult" to enjoy it.

James Horner did rock. Its amazing how many films afterward ripped it off, especially the climax music. And its funny but I think those specials seem more real than any CGI Jurrassic park bulls"£t yet??

They had a symphony performance of all the Star Trek Themes (including this one) at the Toronto Symphony recently... but I wasn't able to make it as I was out of town.

I loved this score as a kid. Embodied everythng about the movie... boldness, urgency, life and death.
