George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce
are referred to as the Holy Trinity of comedians.
I don't know much about Lenny Bruce, but I am inclined to agree on Carlin and Pryor.

without a doubt, he is the greatest comedian i have encountered,as well as a philosopher and a teacher to me. he inspired me to start doing standup comedy because his views on cesorship and human nature cannot be touched.
