This is really cute! I am relieved to know that I am not the only one to throw birthday parties for my furry kids! LOL

My cats, however, will NOT wear the hats or the sunglasses.... believe me - I tried!

I hope Leo got lots of good presents on his subsequent birtdays!

I just lost my newfoundland lab mix last week to the same thing. I could of have had extensive surgery done to him but It only would have prolonged his life a month or so. I am so sad to see him go. He was about 10. He was a big bear and so lovable.

What a wonderful person you are to do something like that for your pets. I have a little maltese named Lucy and love her more than anything in the world. I hope your babies are still going strong

We had 2 newphies and unfortunately they only saw up to their 6th birthday...we sadly lost both on their 6 and a half year as they both had cancer of the spleen but it is nice to see that yours are going strong...we had birthday parties like you with cupcakes as well and ice cream... they loved it!!!! go leo and live a long and properous life!!!! it nice to see how much you are loved!!

That is really cool how you guys have a party for your dogs. Your dogs seem really well trained and they are adorable. That was amazing...I am Brazilian and is so difficult find a Newfie around here...My wish is to have one in a short future...where do you live?? England? Do you know how can I buy one newfie ??? Is my dream to have one of this beautiful dogs since I was a child mmmmnow I am 37, anyway...congratulations for your 12 yo Leo, must really celebrate!!!

No secrets to Leo... just luck, LOVE and excersise.... Maggie who will be 10 this December is also aging incredibly well.... She still can still hang with the younger crew (Sailor and Paddington) and is incredibly sound. Leo on the other hand was never very sound but.... still is here. He loves attention, car rides, and the dog park. He cannot walk more then a couple hundred yards per walk but still enjoys life!
