Let's Take a look at the MSR Pocket Rocket Camp Stove. This stove is fueled by Isopro fuel cylinders. It weights in at 3 oz. in the carry case. This lightweight backpacking stove is a great option for cooking and preparing food at camp, in the field, on the trail or in a bug out situation. It is also very affordable at around $40.00. I will show you the stove, how it functions and test it for an approximate boil time.

  • You're probably ...

You're probably right. With that said, I checked with MSR and they say not to use a windscreen with the pocket rocket stove. They said that the windscreen can reflect heat back to the fuel canister and possibly create a dangerous situation. This stove is basically like a blow torch with a pot stand so I don't think light to moderate winds will affect it too much. I will experiment and post my results though. Thanks for your interest and your comment.
