It's no secret that nutritional experts have been telling us for years that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gets your body going, and fuels it for what you face later on. But did you know that studies show that adults and children who regularly eat breakfast tend to maintain a healthier body weight and are more active during the day?
Breakfast also seems to have an impact beyond just a fit figure. Kids who skip breakfast rarely make up for missed nutrients later in the day. Kids who eat breakfast have more academic success and fewer discipline problems compared to their counterparts who don't eat breakfast.
So make time for breakfast and make the right choice about what you eat. A breakfast cereal, especially one made from whole grains, is packed with vitamins and minerals. Cereal also has an average of 50 percent fewer calories than other common breakfast foods, such as bagels with cream cheese or the typical eggs and bacon.
