One of the most talented guitarists in the world.

With this song, it is not how some can sing it well with great provoking emotion, even though that's cream on the coffee, but the words is so true in this world's society. This song relates to all of us one way or another, the selfishness, the short sighted insights, crooked lines we draw in life.

I agree that Charles Anzavour's lyrics are among the best written in modern pop music and this song seems to have new meaning in every decade of my life. No one does it better than Roy Clark.

I remember my dad listening to this song when I was in grade school. Now I'm 40 with kids of my own and I understand why this song meant so much to Dad. Great song.....great message.

These lyrics are beyond words. Up there with Gentle on my mind. I heard it when I was young and now I'm 42 looking it up on youtube. I know what it means now. Thanks for posting it.

Does anyone know if there is video of Roy Clark singing "Yesterday" at Mickey Mantle's funeral? It is extremely emotional and touching and I'd love to see it again.
