can you redo this video but next time fill the bottle to the brim and put the cap on it that is the way it works best. it needs to be airtight with no air in the bottle.

But im sure in a once in a lifetime thing would be alright, but id prefer to use metal cup or something other than plastic. alot of chemicals and toxins will be released on the plastic bottle,,, not good.

As has been said I would be worried about chemicals from the plastic getting in the water. Good experiment though and good vid. 4 stars

By hobbexp [Affiliate User] 1224188483 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat would be true, but better than getting sick. At least it was fun to do. Any day you can make a fire and do something with it is a good day.
By 2brothersadventures [Affiliate User] 1224188089 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedamn good video, the only bad thing, is the water taste warm plastic, 5/5
By hobbexp [Affiliate User] 1224177866 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWe know about all the nasty stuff released from the bottle, but if its that or get super sick from bad water, I will take the chemicals from the bottle. I think you would have a better chance to survive the chemicals once or twice than the parasites in dirty water.
By 2brothersadventures [Affiliate User] 1224177164 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI agree. This was more to see if it could be done, as we had not done it before, and have some fun trying something new. We did not drink the water as we were not in a survival situation.
We will try to do a knife video in the future.
this is great for the last resort, but when you heat the plastic the carcinogens are released into the water. dont get me wrong i would do it myself if i needed to.
