Im asking for a acer apire one for christmas and I dont whant a big laptop because the screen size is so big and to get a laptop with 12 inch screen it would cost £500 and I just whanted it just to play games (it can play online games and usb games) and to write some documents and do a bit of homework. Acer aspire one rocks.

  • Acer Aspire One ...

Acer Aspire One wins compared to all other netbooks, not in power but for upholding the original idea of a netbook.

  • This guy is a liar ...

This guy is a liar and most of it is BS i wouldnt trust this guy and 120gb is enough and plus u can add on to that a bit more for like what 20-30bucks. The netbook, the acer one, is good and take ur chances while u can before stockmarkets go back up. I havent bought this but i was a bit late since i bought a PC....But trust me the netbook is worth it!

  • There are so many ...

There are so many incorrect statements in this video. You can watch videos - not from a DVD, but you can watch them. You can easily do "office" programs. Open Office does not take a lot of computing power. You can listen to music, rip/burn from an external dvd/cd drive.

  • TBH - This is kinda ...

TBH - This is kinda misleading :(

Netbooks has full OS (since when was WinXP not a full OS)
Netbook can play older games, play music etc
Netbook just is not as powerful or fully featured (no DVD drive as you mentioned)
You can play music and movies, you can plug in an external DVD drive to play.

The big difference for me, is simply power, size and weight. The atom is great as what it does but you can still do photoshop -- just dont expect it to be lightning fast all the time :)

  • The aspire one is ...

The aspire one is probably the best netbook availible. The one Im getting has the specs of my 1 year old low range laptop. Honestly, if you get the xp version of this netbook, your really just getting a light notebook. A lot can change in one month, and Im certain that you can do all functions a normal laptop can, maybe just using iso files and deamon tools instead of a cd/dvd drive. Or you can get an external cd/dvd drive.
