This is a demo of my "M40E" pulsejet, running at various power levels.
It starts out at 5 lbf thrust, and then I increase the power to 17 lbf, and further to 25 lbf; then, I throttle back to 5 lbf again. The hand signals are an effort to indicate the power levels numerically, as described.
This pulsejet starts easily and can be immediately throttled to zero net thrust (sustaining smoothly)--after which it can be immediately throttled to any power level up to its max of 28 lbf. Combustion chamber is 4-inch OD tubing. Fueling is gaseous propane, through advanced modulating injector assemblies.
This engine would lead to a multiple-intake prototype with 4 intakes, capable of powering a manned aircraft demonstrator. I've suspended my development work for the time being, and moved to gas turbine projects instead.
