thx 4 the info, just got back (3 days ago)from Punta Cana, were in the occidental.
It was an amazing location and vacation, flew all the way from europe to that specific island, but it was very much worth it !!!.
If any of you are interested in some more bachata/merengue/salsa-music, guys like Aventura (obsesion), Los Toros band and Krisspy also make awesome music that's very popular in Republica Domenicana (hahahahaha, lol). GRTZ Patrick.

Thanks for watching and the fact that you "loved" it is extra special for me. We would recommend the Iberostar chain of resorts. We had a great time and everything was pretty good. I would not worry about the fact that your wife has a friend that hated it. I'm not sure what there is to hate about being in a warm tropical climate with great food and accomodations. You should enjoy it. The accomodations were clean and well maintained. Don't fret, just enjoy.

Loved your video, my family is going in December, do you recomend the iberstar, we stayed at 2 iberostar's in cancun and loved them, book it for punta cana, and now my wife ran into an old friend who says he hated it. Please tell me I'm not screwed? Thanks

Yes, I am from Wisconsin (near Green Bay area). I researched the music of Dominican Republic a few years ago and found that Juan Luis Guerra was a native of the DR and his music won grammys in recent years. You should be able to purchase his music online. You won't find it in Wisconsin unless you find Polka music with a merenge beat.
