Origin of Earth's magnetic field, new discoveries and new concepts, published in world-class scientific literature and explained here.
NYU found high energetic photons of gamma rays near 3.5TeV being emitted along the galaxy's equator. What will that radiation do to the earth when we align with the galaxy's equator in December of 2012? At a distance of say 26,000 light years doesn't the earth resemble a charged particle in space? Is this alignment the reason Earth's magnetic field is getting weaker? Gamma rays are electromagnetic waves right? The sun is a giant charged particle, what will this alignment do to it? Any theories?

Effects include electrical currents induced in electrical grid and pipelines, fried satellites, unknown potential health risks.

By freepress666 [Affiliate User] 1230599067 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveEarthquake waves take less time to traverse the inner core in the N-S direction than E-W. Some think it's the property of the crystals (anisotropy). I have suggested real distortion due to magnetic forces. If everything were perfect and spherical, the mag. and geog. poles would coincide, I suppose.

By TinyCoconut [Affiliate User] 1230267914 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThanks for the kind words. Yes, the georeactor is at criticality.
By MarvinHerndon [Affiliate User] 1230181796 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveExcellent video. Very interesting.
I've always read that the core was heated via nuclear decay, but it is a novel thought to suppose a natural U nuclear reactor at the center of earth. Is it at criticality?
hmmm...could it be possible that the solid inner core is more like a ovaluar bar than spherical? what wold determine where the exact point of the north and south poles will fall on earth if everything is spherical?
By BullshitArt101 [Affiliate User] 1230133419 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThanks for the kind words. Almost right. Convection, not in the outer core, but in the sub-shell.
By MarvinHerndon [Affiliate User] 1230033652 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removealso i have a question. i dont know if it makes any sense. coz like even in the sun there is nuclear fission of hydrogen which makes all that solar energy. Some scientists beleive that eventually that energy will run out. will the sub - core ever run out of uranium?
By Sharkeologist [Affiliate User] 1230033433 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewow! that was awesome. so let me see if i got it right, (im 15 btw). The nuclear fissions due to uranium in the sub core release a lot of heat which make an electric charge in the sub-shell conducting liquid. this is very unstable resulting in a difference in heat allowing convection to take place in the outer core creating the earth's magnetic field?? hope i got it at least close to correct lol. Your theory rocks btw :D
By Sharkeologist [Affiliate User] 1230033301 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGreat explanation; I had always assumed neutrality, but your hypothesis about nuclear decay makes sense of all of this.
Thanks so much!!!!
Thanks for the comment. That has always bothered me too as the core should be electrically neutral, although in principle you can get some charge separation in an electrical conductor. In the georeactor sub-shell, though, neutron-rich fission products beta decay, yielding electrons, which presumably can create a net flow of charge in circulating matter. and, as you know, the flow of charge produces a magnetic field.
