I was saying I don't need a source to point out that Bill Murray plays the exact same persona in most of his early movies (and most of his later ones) because it's obvious from watching them. When I said "Go back to Wikipedia" I meant go to a site where people are overtly anal about citing sources. Do you people really need an article written by a PhD to verify things that are obvious?

first of all wikipedia isnt a credible source as it can be changed by anyone at anytime, and secondly a well know source would do better to support your proof

Yeah, Great Actor. All Bill Murray does is play himself. Venkman = Phil Connors = Kingpin = Scrooged = Caddyshack = Stripes. Same cocky asshole in every movie.

Then Billy got old and depressed, so now he plays the same depressed asshole in every movie.

And, before you mention it, What About Bob is the exception that proves the rule.

If playing yourself earns an oscar, Pauly Shore should win a lifetime achievement award. Stop giving me thumbs downs and face the facts, fanboys!

My friend accidentally bumped into him at her college where he was apparently speaking or something. She said he was very nice in person, and gracious. I believe it! I loved Ground Hog Day & all of the Ghost Busters movies... and Broken Flowers. What a brilliant man! Sexy to boot.

Well, if he was being hilarious, I would guess you met him at a public event where there were cameras nearby, correct? I ran into him at a restaurant, no cameras around, and I got to meet the Real Billy.

Let's just say there's a reason why he does such a great job playing the exact same smartass in most of his movies.

By the way, I googled "Bill Murray Asshole" and it looks like Bill's a wife beater too. Doesn't surprise me.

I met him in "real life" too. Dude was absolutely hilarious and really nice.
