    Those rods look like 7/8 or even 3/4 and new, spinning them isn't bad at all. We don't have an 1 1/4 nest for our tongs so I have to spin them every once in a while! Try that sometime if you get the chance haha

    Read the comments below. They don't use rod tongs because of corrosion problems in this field and because they choose not too.

    Exactly, I have seen it myself on some jobs were they are faster with the wrenches than the rod tongs. We don't use rod tongs in this area because of corrosion issues.

    I've seen alot of crews that say that they're faster with rod wrenches..... I have to call BS on that one. There's one simple truth to it all, whether it be BJ, Foster, or Gill, they don't get tired.
