  • So what do you ...

So what do you suggest? Always keep the gun pointed in... what direction then? Since you can never afford to accidentally discharge it at anything?

It was always pointed in the safest direction possible AND it was on safety until it was cleared.

You just need to look at any video to the right of this one to see people squeezing the triggers of their loaded guns or pointing them at their own faces.

I provided a real-world demonstration of breaking down a loaded gun in the safest possible way.

  • We all know how ...

We all know how accidents happen, even when a finger isnt on the trigger. and you can never afford to accidentally discharge a firearm.. all i thought was if you have to flip the gun around, clear the chamber first. maybe me saying waving around was to harsh.

  • A) I was in a house ...

    A) I was in a house with nobody else. B) The gun was never pointed at anyone or anything that I couldn't have afforded to accidentally discharge the gun at - including myself. C) My finger never, ever went inside the trigger guard except to remove the slide after the gun was cleared. D) It's an Example. If I didn't turn the gun around or "wave the gun around" as you put it, you couldn't very well see what I was doing on the other side of the gun, right?

    Nice try though.

    Thank you for the compliments.

I take gun safety very seriously. And especially in a situation like this, you want to instruct people how to do it right or you might as well not do it at all. :)

  • Great video man! ...

Great video man! Kudos on the safety measures also. Too many people aren't serious about safety with firearms and that's how lives get lost. I'm going to be buying this gun (with stainless slide) very soon. Thanks for the good input.

  • Thanks for the ...

Thanks for the compliment; Jimmy does indeed do a great video.

For my own frame, the PT111 is a little too large to comfortably and easily conceal in an ankle holster. Something like a Kel-tec P-32 would be better. I carry my PT111 IWB as that's by far the most comfortable and accessible.

  • Excellent video. ...

Excellent video. You are correct about older videos using the older models. Jimmy (cop from Baltimore) also has an excellent video, but he used the older model with the separate spring.
My question to you: which way do you think it is better to carry this - shoulder holster, ankle holster, or hidden down your pants?

I think it is. But you can stop by a gun store and ask them to let you hold it to make sure it's comfortable for you before you make the purchase.

  • Thank you. I've ...

    Thank you.

I've had people with large hands shoot the gun and they love it. The trigger is spaced so that if you have longer fingers you'll be able to pull it with a "power crease" finger position which is ideal.

If your fingers extend past the bottom of the grip, it is angled to allow your pinky to comfortably grip the bottom of the gun.

It's definitely a good carry weapon to consider and would be better suited to people with large hands compared to say a Keltec PF-9 or a XD Subcompact 9mm.
