When President Barack Obama gave a speech in Turkey last week in which he assured the Muslim world that America is a not a Christian nation but a nation of citizens, Fox News and former Miss America Gretchen Carlson at "Fox and Friends" used the speech as another opportunity to question President Obama's regard for Christianity instead of seeing the historical parallel to the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli is which US President John Adams and a unanimous US Senate declared that "...the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion..."

The Fox News clips in this video come from the "Fox and Friends" program broadcast on April 8, 2009.

The images of the Treaty of Tripoli in this video come from the two Library of Congress webpages at http://memory.loc.gov/ll/llsp/002/0000/00240018.tif

and at http://memory.loc.gov/ll/llsp/002/0000/00250019.tif

And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

  • Obama had TWO ...

Obama had TWO Muslim dads and both of them would have cursed you if you claimed their son was an African/American Christian.

BBud, NICE! You know, Jesus said some very compelling things. I was recently reading on the 3 people I'm aware of that ascended to heaven which are Enoch, Elijah, and Moses. Jesus states in John 3 verses 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. That said, there is clear wording to the contrary. Either way it goes, religion is confusing enough without all these idiots in the West thinking they're the New Israel. LOL

  • BBud, well said, ...

BBud, well said, and very true. J. Witness are funny people also! My uncle is one and he and I go at it all the time. LOL, my family is primarily Seventh Day Adventist, so I know all about those supposedly gifted with visions directly from God. Whenever someone questions the patriarchs, their faith and belief in God is then questioned. All that because these clowns can't answer simple questions about their own beliefs. No doubt on the rhythm & blues thing. Baptist services are like concerts!

  • Why do people think ...

Why do people think USA was based on Christian Ideals? It was originally based on the Freemasons ideals, of a society of people, regardless of religion, being able to work together for widespread wisdom. Washington D.C. was even called 'New Rome' in the beginning since Rome was the center of knowledge in it's time.
