  • Shaq of course a ...

Shaq of course a good player but one thing he can't do anymore is make it through the regular season without missing games. I predict he'll miss between 20 to 40 games this year due to his ailing back, knees, or shoulder. His body can't sustain 81 games anymore. He'll of course make the playoffs but he won't last a season playing all of those games.

  • And I think people ...

And I think people also forget just how much better Hakeem was defensively. Hakeem won two DPOYs and made three All-Defense first teams and four second teams. When he was doing this, he was beating guys like Robinson, Ewing, Eaton, and Dikembe.

  • Shaq meanwhile has ...

Shaq meanwhile has eight first team appearances. Who did he have to beat out?

    98:Robinson (the post-surgery version)
    00:Zo
    01: Dikembe
02:nobody (no center even made the second team)
    03, 04:Ben Wallace
    05:nobody again
    06:Ben Wallace

That competition is reminiscent of the Mikan days.

  • People don't ...

People don't realize just how weak Shaq's competition was compared to Hakeem. Hakeem has six All-NBA first team appearances. The centers that were on the second team behind him those years are:

    87:Moses
    88, 89, 93:Ewing
    94:Robinson
    97:Ewing

And Hakeem was robbed of a first team appearance in 1986 because voters felt like Kareem deserved it (he didn't).

Listen, mate. I'm the last person that would "shoulda woulda coulda".. I hate persons that speaks in "if's" but if you just listen to me for a sec. Hakeem played in a much better era, I will prove it to you in another comment because youtube's not letting me write more than 500 characters..

  • maxpeezaay- don't ...

maxpeezaay- don't bother to leave me any comments because you will get no response from that wack ass comment you made about Shaq played in the worst era. You remind me of people that always use "Shoulda,Woulda, Coulda again slap yourself and wake the fuck up next I guess you will tell me the Harlem Globetrotters would have beat the Lakers in seven games. Maxpeezaay I will pray for you because you need it. It's been real TheTruth65

  • maxpeezaay - Hey ...

maxpeezaay - Hey buddy stop living in the past you just made my point duhhhhhhhhh I said out of 20 NBA players that at least 17 would want Shaq on their team and you just named 2 players (MJ) & Robert Horry :-o open your eyes and get a grip PAL!!! free throws don't win games defense & offense does in case you forgot!!! And now you bring this Bullshit to the table that Shaq played in the worst era of Basketball you are a joke and just by that comment I lost what little respect I had for you.

  • Oh, is that why the ...

Oh, is that why the greatest player ever (MJ) said that he wanted Hakeem on his team? And is that why Robert Horry who played with both Shaq n' Dream said that Dream was better? And btw, rings's nuttin'... Robert Horry got 7 of.. And let's not forget, Shaq's last ring was the cheapest ever. Lol, give the ball to the man that likes to call himself "mde" on the ft with one second left and under by one 1 point or outside the box and see what the result of that will be..

  • Hakeem's free throw ...

Hakeem's free throw percentage is about 70% which is great so let me introduce you tom "Hakeem's the greatest center ever" which means he kicked Shaq's butt back in 95 and killed David Robinson, the same DRob that won the MVP-award. And you're right, Hakeem's no Shaq, he's much better. And don't come with that crap 'bout rings, Shaq played in the worst era of basketball when he got those rings.

  • Well I will leave ...

Well I will leave you with this little tid bit if you asked 20 NBA PLAYERS who they would want on their team to help when a Championship Shaq or Hakeem? I guarantee you at least 17 players would say they would want Shaq. Shaq was doubled and tripled team at L.S.U. that is why he left early he says it was not fun anymore because once he got the ball the entire team collapsed on him. Shaq Diesel,Superman is the MAN period.............

  • Remember Shaq's ...

Remember Shaq's free throw percentage is about 20% which is terrible so let me introduce you to "Hack a Shaq" which means foul him anyway you can and Shaq took a lot of hard fouls on a regular basis Shaq has 4 rings I think Hakeem has 2 but Hakeem is a good player but he's no Shaq.

By TheTruth65 [Affiliate User] 1193097250 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Oh, Hakeem just ...

Oh, Hakeem just dominated, Robinson, Shaq n' Ewing... if he's not dominant then Shaq's nothing. Hakeem was always double teamed. Even against Boston in 86 finals they double teamed him. And physical, Hakeem is the leading blocker and he just to chase down guards and block them so he must have been more atletic than "offensive foul"-Shaq. And let's not forget, who dominated who back in '95?

By maxpeezaay [Affiliate User] 1193097143 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Hakeem was not a ...

Hakeem was not a dominant and physical player he did not take hard fouls or he did not get doubled or tripled team once he got the ball so their is no comparsion none as far as wear and tear on Shaq's body vs Hakeem. Anyone who knows Basketball and both players will tell you the same Shaq play in the middle down low Hakeem played outside the key and sometimes in the key. AGAIN NO COMPARSION APPLES TO ORANGES.

  • Yeah, Hakeem is 44 ...

Yeah, Hakeem is 44 years old now, we'll see what Shaq does for about 10 years from now. I can promise you he's not playing ball in NBA though...

  • maxpeezaay- You ...

maxpeezaay- You said in 1995 Hakeem dogged Shaq. This is 2007 Shaq is still dogging people! Where is Hakeem now??? :-O I thought so Shaq is and will always be the most dominant center in the game period......

  • Lol, Shaq was in ...

Lol, Shaq was in his prime, he had an average on 29 points per game. Hakeem took it to him and made him look like a fool. Shaq started to cry and later challenged him to play 1 on 1, that shows just how childish he was and is. Give the ball to Shaq outside the paint or a ft with 1 second left and down by 1 and see how "mde" will handle that.

What's the deal with the fingerpointing on everyone? Too bad he got raped by Hakeem in 95.
