Bobby Sands is still an international Hero. In the US, I still see memorabilia worn honoring him.

I was under the impression they never got there Prisoner of War status? They got theirs demand, to be allowed to wear own clothes and such, but if im correct they never got that status. It was done in a way that the "criminals" wouldnt be given prisoner of war status, cause that would have ratified the IRA as an official army.
