it was justified and its one of the most debated and controversial events in American history but it was the right choice. Innocent people did die but even more would have if we invaded. THe poor Japanese would not have had the choice other than to fight to the death because their crazy leader refused to surrender. They would have fought to the death the same way they did on the pacific islands if we invaded. America bombed CIVILIANS....maybe a small percentage was military...but mostly civilians died from the nuclear blasts...entire families gone.
