  • The extract feature ...

The extract feature is available on photoshop version 5.5, version 6, version 7, CS, CS2 and CS3.

If the extract feature is grayed out then you might be using an image mode that is not compatible with the extract feature. Under the menu IMAGE - MODE make sure that 8 bits per channel is selected and that the mode is RGB, CMYK or GRAYSCALE

  • If there is NO ...

If there is NO extract in the Filter menu then you are probably using an inferior version of photoshop. The extract feature is available on photoshop versions 5.5 6 7 CS CS2 and CS3.

If the extract feature is grayed out then you might be using an image mode that is not compatible with the extract feature. Under the menu IMAGE - MODE make sure that 8 bits per channel is selected and that the mode is RGB, CMYK or GRAYSCALE
