At the 2006 Lonestar Shootout in Houston, Doug Duell in the Drag'n Wag'n and the Old Hippie in Big Red Ram met in the Quarters.

Both cars were too fast for the class (10.0 for Drag'n Wag'n and 9.75 for BRR) they were running. The old Hippie figured he'd go like Hell to get a lead on Doug -- then lift at the end and let him break out. Didn't work as planned.

Old Hippie tree'd Doug and was way ahead -- Doug lifted to let Old Hippie breakout -- but got back in it when he saw Big Red Ram slow down. BRR slowed too much and got out of his power band and crossed the line 1/10 second and 25 MPH too slow -- while Doug got a perfect 10.0. BRR's advantage on the tree wasn't quite enough to win. Drag'n Wag'n went on to win the event.
