!@#$~~READ~~$#@!

Hey youtube, I had some questions from a couple people invloving the 9800 GTX. This card is amazing in my opinion and I wanted to show others just how good this thing is. I am playing Crysis on all High Detail@1600x1050 due to the fact that I only have a Core 2 Duo. If I had a quad, I could get just as much or better using a Quad core CPU, but even with this older Core 2 Duo, the card runs fast.

System Specs:

Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0ghz
Asus p5n-e SLI mothbermoard
3 Gigs of 667 DDR2 RAM
320gb 7200 HD
XFX 9800 GTX
Windows Vista Home Basic 64 bit OS

Fraps slows my fps down a lot. In this video, I am getting about 18-23 fps. Without fraps, I get around an easy 35 frames per second which is very playable, especially running crysis.

Other Notes:

The fan on the card is not even on 100% (only 70%) and stays at 56 degrees(C) dead even. For the price, this card owns, I would recommend it to anyone.

Also, overclocking this this is a dream. I managed to get this card beyond 800 core clock, 2000 shader, and 1200 memory and it stays cool and its stable. In this video, I am running the core at 770, shaders at 1900, and memory at 1125.

NOTE NOTE NOTE: The song in the video is Fade to Black by Metallica. I did not create it myself. I do not want to have any problems for using this song, which I shouldn't because I give Metallica legal ownership.

Enjoy, and if you have any questions, send me a message.

  • I am not sure yet, ...

I am not sure yet, it is still coming out, it's going 2 run an all new Directx 11 which I am quite sure will be better and faster than running Directx 10. The beta versionis out which u could try.

Also, I'd say stich 2 wwindows xp 4 gaming, it's certainly something that u should do. Directx 10 isn't really a big thing 2 wow about. I'd say performance is better!

Then u should get Crysis Warhead, you can play it on very high (Enthusiast) in Windows XP. That's better than getting another card just 2 play it on very high. Nice Vid though :D

  • I am not using a ...

I am not using a Quad core processor, I am using the Phenom x3 8450 clocked at 2.3GHz. I run the game at 1680 x 1050 and I have 2GB DDR2 800 Ram. The only main difference is I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition 32bit. BTW, I recommend u don't use Vista, I tried vista and this game was unplayable, Vista is slow. Go for Windows 7!

  • You must have the ...

You must have the quad core then, cuz my core 2 duo is running at 3.0ghz, which is a pretty big overclock considering it was 2.4 factory. This game is the only drawback to my system, considering it uses all 4 cores. My frames go beyond the quad in games that use only 2 cores, but I just wanted to let people know what to expect of this game if they buy this card with a dual core processor.
