As a former CarJack I noticed being honest with people and straight shooter does not sale cars.You have to play the game right they ask for price change the subject to is this what your looking for stuff like that etc.People should respect anyone who stays in the Car game for a long time because they got serious skillz and if you sale a car u can sale anything.....Biggest deal i had for a 07 trailblazer we sold it for bluebook 24,000 and we got it on trade for 17k 7POUNDER

The job of the customer is to pay the least amount for the car.The job of the salesman is to charge as much as they can for the car.Who is better at there job?

Its a stereotype because its so common. There are always exceptions - as even you say *most of* them are honest people... but there's plenty of bad apples to spoil it for them all.

So stereotypical of a movie to portray used vechicle sales associates as sleazy people. I know a lot of pre-owned salespeople and most of them are good honest people who will give you a fair deal. Yes, they'll earn a commission, but you don't work for free, either!
