First of all I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've been quite busy of late. I thank you for all your kind words and comments which you have left, it makes me very happy, thank you.
Paul, well done on the 26+, it must have been a stunning fish myfriend. You mentioned a d**e ? To be honest with you mate, my best and biggest pike came from exactly the same kind of water, waters of such should never be over looked, I lernt that a long time ago.

I think as i had quite a few small jacks i need to see more vids on in depth about swallows and things as a couple the jacks i stuck asap yet they still managed to get the back hook along way down. I did the through gills ( be gentle doing this, those red gills are extremely important so i hear) but with one of them i had to cut as close to the bottom hook as i could. Your brill for posting educating vids.

Im not an expert or anything and have very limited water and ive fished lakes n all sorts, this pike came from the crappiest small lookin little farmers field style d**e (on my depth finder thats new so i used it just to see, its 3ft 2 all along. Its about 12 foot wide)

By diblysound [Affiliate User] 1189558126 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHi ya mate, I used a dead bait bream if I remember rightly.
By longshanknailer [Affiliate User] 1186945918 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhat ure did u use mate ?? thx
By HOBBYMAN93 [Affiliate User] 1186940808 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes you're right mate, some 'so called anglers' have no respect for any fish never mind pike. Last winter I fished a local water and caught a small jack pike which had 4 traces deep hooked inside it, I removed all the offending traces and luckily the pike survived. I took pictures of the un-hooking and if you want to see them you can always contact me. :)

Nice way to show the public the correct way to de-hook a pike , to many arse-holes out there damage so many pike by ripping the hooks right out or tearing the inside of the pike by pissing about.
thanks for sharing , the scottish pike crew were impressed
Yes mate the fish was returned safely back to the water.
By longshanknailer [Affiliate User] 1186469316 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removenice fish! did u put it back?
By golfandfish93 [Affiliate User] 1186025099 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHi ya Disote, the answer to your question is... No, the pike was not dead, nor was it brain damagedī. The fish was returned safely back to its natural environment. I must admit though, it did take me quite a while to get the hooks out 'as seen' but that was to no detriment to the fish.
Thanks very much for your concern.
Maybe you would be kind enough to show a video clip of your catches and link to this page?
Thanks in advance
Andy
