Firefighters battle a 1200 degree training fire during the initial testing of an engineered fire and containment system called Pandora's Box. The system which was developed by Division Chief Ray Altman of Boynton Beach Fire Rescue with the assistance of Battalion Chief James Schaffner of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, allows for an aquired structure to be safely utilized for multiple burns without significant damage to the structure. The acquired structure in the video has been used for more than five days of live fire training. It has weathered more than 40 hours of live fire training. Damage to the house is generally limited to discoloration of dry wall via smoke damage.
