Jim Morrison and Ray Manzerek do most of the talking in this 10 minute cut of an interview with band taken in 1969. Jim wears shades throughout the interview and seems knocked out or up on something. They talk eloquently and with very considered response to the interviewer about their thoughts over many various topics. They talk about their thoughts on comparisons that have been suggested between their music and rock concerts becoming religious or spiritual experiences for the Youth of America at the time.
Note, the interesting response of Jim Morrison suggesting that he can see a time where concerts will be given by one man with a lot of machines.

The doors and the music of that era are relivant to the times in which they were produced now we hang on those musicans and ideals even though the world has changed so much, what we need is a band of today to come out and redifine our times as to what they are a plastic shell of what once was,

  • Drug or no drug, a ...

Drug or no drug, a lot of people often say 'uhhm uhhm uhh uhh' every other sentence, or worse every other word.
Not agreeing on drugs, none the less, performing in front of thousands of people is a lot of pressure. Jim maintained a clear mind at interviews and concerts still. Whether or not he relied on drugs to perform good music, I surely had relied on his music to keep me going. Jim couldn't be with us even a decade longer was our lost. That's what I recon. ;p

  • Jim clearly had ...

Jim clearly had great foresight regarding music and it's future direction, and he was obviously very intelligent, as was/is Manzarak. Both knew a lot about music and it's "past". Not to be obviously redundant, but Manzarak was classicly trained and both grew up on the blues and jazz and hillbilly et, and then later both loved and were set aflame by Elvis (who "blended those two forms, and others) to wanna be rock stars. Morrison even liked Sinatra.
