This is the latest "rough cut" video of Massena, New york's history containing 39 images from the roaring 1920's of midnight liquor bootleggers, speak easies and the age of jazz. The song for this video is of the popular charleston dance craze of 1925. Images are of downtown massena, maple street school, st. larence river, pine grove school, the fire department crew, police force, hoton's ice house, g. snaith store, downtown flood, podgurski clan on tommy the horse, horses, football teams, women's basketball team, forgotten massena personalities and others. This is a first of two music videos for the 1920's I'm posting to view. Next video will be the great depression of the 1930's.

firstly let me please add that i was speaking hypothetically and with humour. i didn't
realize that i was going back without the knowledge amassed in this life so far and without the striving to bring about change through re-education of the closed mind brigade (in
charge of society even back then) as i have been doing for 20 years. + also that i ain't a coloured fella...
kkk and racism are/is still alive and kicking although far more worryingly, usually
underground now
Don't forget the black lynchings, the KKK march on Washington, the Teapot dome scandal,Warren Harding's illegitimate children etc.Children died of polio, measles, diptheria, scarlet fever due to No antibiotics.People went blind or died from bathtub gin Reality check please! The music and spirit of the '20's is what we long for but things have improved by an large

By serapidus [Affiliate User] 1201528031 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe massena springs bridge has been replaced a few times over the years or repaired..in the late 1960's they actually re-routed the street with the bridge a little. the bridge in downtown massena was made to look almost like the old one from 1917.

The comprehensive in-depth tribute to small town American life during one of it's defining eras is unique and well done. The choice of "Charleston" as the soundtrack is most apt as it perhaps is the most representative song of it's age.
