Amber Valletta, Tyson Ballou and Ryan Snyder star in [CLOROX BLUE] , a new film by STEVEN KLEIN. I love the harsh , raw glamor, the way the frame is filled with life and that cinematic almost retro color tone. Klein's innate ability to be transgressive within the boundaries of marketability , is uncanny. I imagine Amber just did something perverse but I want to be her, up against that bathroom wall. If you are going to be bad, why not looking amazing doing so.

Well, long story short. It is not a masterpiece to be praising it or falling into a trans,.. it's a correct piece of work and it is serving it's purpose. a little homage with couture :)
I couldn't agree more with you. I mean I love David Lynch. But that does not make it because of that. I think he did took this iconic images purposely because of you said above, so that he will not alienate a large audience and that people can recognize some images and frames. Everybody draws inspiration out of something or someone, that is not something new, it is the way that is interpreted that is new, in this case a camera because this is what Steven is doing. He is a photographer... :)

That way you will not alienate a large audience while still maintaining an artsy sheen.
it's a rip-off from the Isabella Rosselini and Willem Dafoe scenes from Wild At Heart. Plus some early nineties Madonna styling and the millions that were used for inspiration before that. Get some perspective folks. It only looks new because of new camera- digital recording post-production techniques.
