  • The education in ...

The education in Japan has made Japanese like takaka here ignorant of what happened. Remember what Germany did to Jews? You know why? Because of racism. You know why Japanese were capable of such atrocities at WWII? Because of racism as well! Because Japanese thought of the Chinese as a different and inferior race! That led to their inhuman atrocities which will damn whoever have done it to the deepest recess of hell and suffer eternal damnation!

  • The Japanese ...

The Japanese reaction to the A-bombs is my answer.
Most Japanese are not coward enough unable to die for the truth as clearly shown in the act of Kamikaze.
The truth shall reveal itself in the end.

It has been nice talking with you. Bye.

  • Maybe conquest ...

Maybe conquest plans are rather far-fetched now, since they still rely on americans to protect their ass for the moment. But the official reveal of the truth will certainly do some nasty damage to japanese solidarity in the country, which has been the basis for their economic success.

  • of course not. War ...

of course not. War sucks. I know it because Ive been conscripted for 2 years in a country where political climate is very stable. The japanese denied those acts for good reasons pertaining to their national identity and the need to remove any potential moral roadblocks to future conquest plans.

Well, from a warfare perspective, sure. But is that a place you really want to go?

  • From a warfare ...

From a warfare perspective i dont see anything wrong with what japan did. They are in a total war, and they will utilize and do whatever they can to win the war. What pissed me off is their persistent sissy denial. I very much prefer them to say "yeah i did it and i will do it again."

  • Part 3: You ...

    Part 3:

You don't seem to come from a racist perspective, nor have you spoken lightly of suffering and death. Thus I hope that, were you to find out that all this stuff is true, your reaction would be not that of a Japanese patriot, but that of a fellow human being.

You'll clearly never be persuaded on the history, but in the end all that matters to me is that you recognize how horrible the alleged acts were.

    Because some clearly don't.

  • If it was all true, ...

If it was all true, that those atrocities occured, and with that degree of brutality, would you feel empathy for the victims?

It's hard for me to imagine that you are a passionate racist who would be able to casually dismiss the suffering of those people, but that's what many of the right-wing historians seem to be like. It bothers me very much that people still think this way. (continued)

  • Well, takakazushin, ...

Well, takakazushin, before we end this, I just want to ask you one more thing, because to me, it's the real heart of the issue, the only thing that really matters.

IF. I'm saying IF, you somehow found out, conclusively and beyond doubt, that thousands of Japanese soldiers had committed the incredible violence against Chinese and Koreans that they are accused of having done, what would your reaction be? (continued)

  • 2) When I said you ...

    2) When I said you are wrong, I wanted to say that the whole Japan, smaller than the California with virtually no natural resources, was COMPELLED to start the tragic war against such big power in order to PROTECT its country. It was by no means AGGRESSION. Emperor, traditionally regarded as the father of the nation, simply represents Japan.

  • Let me get out of ...

Let me get out of here by answering your questions as follows:

    1) There were some holocausts, which did not occur but were malicious propaganda to discredit this and justify that. Nanking Massacre is one of the examples.

  • I feel no further ...

I feel no further argument in this limited space will bring us anywhere productive. The truth in the history will reveal itself in its fruit in the future anyway.

  • And again, China ...

And again, China was not under Western political control at all in 1931. Neither was Korea. China was independent (though fractured), and Japan had already been controlling Korea for 21 years.

Why is it so hard to accept that it was a war of aggression? The Germans today accept it, and I know in my heart that my own country is fighting an imperial war RIGHT NOW as I speak. I don't LIKE that that's true, in fact it makes me sick, but that doesn't change the fact that it's happening.

  • That's what a lot ...

That's what a lot of German soldiers said, too. They believed in Hitler's manifesto with all their hearts, and believed that everything they did was for a just cause.

But that doesn't really apply to my earlier point, because I was referring to what people say in hindsight. You're talking about what soldiers were saying in heat of the moment.

  • My high school ...

My high school library had that book. I wanted to read it but never had the chance.

What are you specifically referring to that you want me to find in that book? By "you are wrong", do you mean I'm wrong that the soldiers were merely following orders? Because I think I know what you're getting at--all of them sincerely believed in their mission, and were more than ready to die for the Emperor.

Are you referring to the US Congress resolving on the comfort women and to the people shouting about the numerous subjects such as Nanking Massacre, Unit 731, etc. etc.? If so, very well said. TROGLODYTES!

    Ah.

Of course WWII's over. I was just referring to the troglydytes who can't let it go, that's all.
