Shihan datta has participated in over a hundred tournaments over the past fifteen years, at all four levels local, state, national & international, winning accolades at a number of them. at present he is an official judge for kata and kumite for all india karate -- do federation , Shihan Naval Datta believes that anyone from six to sixty can learn karate. he has a holistic view of karate, practicing it as a philosophy. he is enthused by new challenges, believing that there are always more skills to be gained, more knowledge to be obtained and a higher level of competition to be reached. as an evangelist, he has spread the message of the benefits of this ancient japanese self defence art in india for nearly two decades and aims to continue doing so in never and better ways, both for himself and his students, with so much of spirit inside him in his own saying " WE PRODUCE CHAMPIONS NOT JUST A PLAYER"
